Illya Kaminsky, Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Illya Kaminsky is the author of the multiple award-winning poetry book Dancing in Odessa. Kaminsky translates Russian and is the poetry editor of Words Without Borders, an online journal of poetry in translation. He teaches poetry and comparative literature at San Diego State University.

Danzy Senna, Wedensday, April 29, 2009, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Danzy Senna's award-winning debut novel, Caucasia, is a story of bwo biracial sisters growing up in racially charged Boston during the 1970s. Senna lives in Los Angeles and writes essays about race, identity, and gender. Her newest book, Where Did you Sleep Last Night, is a memoir.

Gloria Gervitz, Wednesday, May 13, 2009, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Gloria Gervitz was born in 1943 in Mexico City, where she still lives. Her work as a poet for almost 30 years was one enormous poem, Migraciones, which she finally completed in 2003. This was published by Shearsman in 2004 in a bilingual edition, with translations by Mark Schafer. Gloria Gervitz studied history at the Universidad Iberoamericana, and has translated into Spanish the works of Anna Akhmatova, Margarite Yourcenar, Samuel Beckett and Clarice Lispector, among others. Her work has appeared in a number of anthologies in Mexico and the USA, and has been translated into several languages.

Bill Berkson, Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Bill Berkson is associate professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. He is a poet, art critic, editor, and curator who has been active in the art and poetry worlds for many decades. He is the author of eighteen books and pamphlets and poetry, including most recently Gloria (with etchings by Alex Katz) and Our Friends will Pass Among You Silently, as well as an epistolary collaboration by Bernadette Mayer entitled What's Your Idea of a Good Time? He is a corresponding editor for Art in America, and his criticism has appeared there and in Artforum and other journals. A collection of his essays, The Sweet Singer of Modernism & Other Art Writings, appeared in 2004, and Sudden Address: Selected Lectures in 2007. He was Distinguished Paul Mellon Fellow at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture for 2006.
