	Rachel Loden is the author of Dick of the Dead (Ahsahta), a finalist for both the 2010 PEN USA Literary Award for Poetry and the California Book Award. It was also one of the three most-cited books in Attention Span 2009 (“a collectively-drawn map of the field”), landing on lists by Rae Armantrout and others. Loden’s first book, Hotel Imperium, won the Contemporary Poetry Series competition and was selected as one of the ten best poetry books of the year by the San Francisco Chronicle. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a Fellowship in Poetry from the California Arts Council, an &NOW Award, and a grant from the Fund for Poetry. Podcast of event

Seth Lerer, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Seth Lerer is Dean of Arts and Humanities and Distinguished Professor of Literature at UCSD. He has been a scholar and teacher of English and Comparative Literature for thirty years, but he has also been a creative writer. He studied poetry with Richard Wilbur at Wesleyan in the 1970s and worked closely with the writing faculty and Stegner Fellows during his twenty years at Stanford. His poetry, creative non-fiction, and reviews have appeared in The Southern Review, The Sewanee Review, The Southwest Review, Raritan, and The Yale Review. Among his many scholarly and critical publications is Children’s Literature: A Reader’s History from Aesop to Harry Potter, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2008 and the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Truman Capote Award in Literary Criticism. Stuart Dybek, Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts Facility: Performance Space
	Stuart Dybek is the author of three books of fiction. I Sailed With Magellan and The Coast of Chicago were New York Times Notable Books, and The Coast of Chicago was a One Book One Chicago selection. Dybek has also published two collections of poetry: Streets in Their Own Ink and Brass Knuckles. His fiction, poetry, and nonfiction have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, The Atlantic, Poetry, Tin House, and many other magazines, and have been widely anthologized, including work in both Best American Fiction and Best American Poetry. Among Dybek’s numerous awards are a PEN/Malamud Prize “for distinguished achievement in the short story,” a Lannan Award, a Whiting Writers Award, an Award from the Academy of Arts and Letters, several O.Henry Prizes, and fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation. In 2007 Dybek was awarded a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship. Podcast of event
