Petitions for alternate course options will typically only be considered if there are clearly defined and unavoidable schedule conflicts with an offering (and no additional offerings prior to your planned quarter of graduation). No petitions are guaranteed to be approved, so it is your responsibility to plan your courses accordingly.

World Literature & Culture majors (LIT-BA-016) who choose the Language Concentration in Chinese, Greek, Korean, Latin, Russian, or Spanish have the following pre-approved options for fulfilling the upper division concentration requirement:

For LTEA-151: If students work out a plan with the instructor to do the readings and assignments in Spanish, then World Literature & Culture majors (LIT-BA-016) may apply the course to upper division Spanish Language concentration requirement. As long as the instructor confirms that the students did the coursework in Spanish, this will be approved.
