and Writing at UCSD was one of the most exciting times of my life. The professors in both areas are some of the most intelligent, forward-thinking teachers I've had the pleasure to work with. My brain was absolutely rewired in the Lit/Writing program. The courses are wide-ranging in both scope and topic, from the subversiveness of Frankenstein and basics in lit theory and criticism, to how to structure a well-written personal essay and offer peer critiques.
