The Literature Building
KEYS
You may have a key to the Literature Building and to your office in the building if you are a departmental TA. You may order keys from Thom Hill.
There is a $20 deposit per key. The deposit may be paid by check, made out to the UC Regents. When you return your keys to the Graduate Information Office, LIT 139, your deposit will be refunded in form of a check within 20 working days.
If you are teaching for one quarter rather than for the entire academic year, please return your office key at the end of the quarter.
OFFICES
Graduate students who are working as teaching assistants in the Department of Literature are assigned to shared offices in the Literature Building. Those who work as TAs in campus programs or writing programs are assigned offices in those programs.
Please lock the doors and windows whenever you leave your office, even if it's only for a few moments. For security reasons, please don't put purses, backpacks, wallets, or laptop computers in plain view.
