Graduate Program - Admissions Information

Thank you for your interest in our program and for your inquiry regarding admission.

The Department will be accepting applications for Fall 2009 beginning in mid-August 2008. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 5, 2008. We no longer accept paper applications. Please see the link below to apply online. 

The prerequisites for admission are:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • GRE scores (scores for the general test only. Scores must be from an exam you have taken within the past three years.)
  • TOEFL score (if you are an international student)
  • Working knowledge of a second language and its literature
  • 25 page writing sample (minimum) - multiple samples totalling at least 25 pages acceptable
  • 3 letters of recommendation (minimum)
