Zoomerang Evaluations

What is Zoomerang?

Zoomerang is an online survey program delivered via email that the Literature Department uses to collect course evaluation data. Evaluations are crucial to the improvement of our programs.

When should I expect to see a survey?

All Graduate courses are Zoomeranged. You should receive one via email during the 9th week of the quarter. Surveys close on the Monday following the 10th week at 8:00 a.m.. Students are usually sent 1 or 2 reminders of they have not completed the survey

My email address was used to send me my Zoomerang evaluation invite. Will the instructor be able to tell what comments were mine? Could my comments affect my grade?

The anonymous results of each survey are only given to Instructors AFTER grades are turned in, and no names, email addresses, or other identifying information is included in the results. Can a Zoomerang evaluation be sent to my Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. account?

We use the primary email address posted in your TritonLink address module. Be sure and keep this information current.

I am enrolled in a Literature Course this quarter and my instructor has announced that a Zoomerang survey will be sent to the students enrolled in the course, but I didn't get any Zoomerang Surveys.

There are a few reasons why you may not receive a Zoomerang Invite:

1. Zoomerang invites are sent to your campus email address on file with the Registrar's office. If you do not check your campus email address you will miss your Zoomerang invites.

2. You selected the OPT OUT link on a previous Zoomerang Invite that was sent to you. This is Zoomerang's statement on the OPT OUT feature:

"If the recipient selects the I do not want to receive any more surveys and emails from this sender link, the recipient will see the following confirmation message:

'If you do not wish to receive further surveys from this sender, click OK below. Zoomerang will permanently remove you from this sender’s mailing list. Are you sure that you want to permanently opt out from this sender’s mailing list?' The survey recipient will have the option to click 'OK' or 'Cancel.' If the survey recipient clicks 'OK,' the Zoomerang account holder will no longer be able to send emails to this recipient's address, including reminders. The Opt Out status is permanent and cannot be reversed."

As Zoomerang states, there is currently no process in place to undo an OPT OUT request. Zoomerang has stated that their next release will have an undo option after the fact.
